Hey 205!

I really need your help to check if you have a purple file that contains VERY IMPORTANT documents. If you were to look inside, I'm sure you'll find that the documents are important. Don't ask me to check my house/bag/cupboard cos I've checked it twice-last night and just now, and unfortunately, it's not there. I checked under my table and my locker but it's not there either. There's a possibility that I left it on someone's table to write a note on the board before I went to the Chemistry lab. So, yeah. PLEASE CHECK.

Oh, and if you're wondering what kind of file it is, it's a L-shape folder. Translucent, so you should be able to see our last year's class list and it's not the class list that's the important document. It's the stuff behind it.

hi all

just wanted to see if you guys were ok with the acp proposal before i sent it off...

oh and does anyone know who the marketing manager, accounts manager and sales manager?

Felt craft (food) Our theme is movies so we will sell felt movie food like burgers, french fries, potato chips, popcorn, m&ms, soft drinks, nachos --- most (french fries, potato chips, soft drinks, chocolate and nachos will have our class logo on it) If we think that we will not be able to make enough profit, there will be the possible sale of other movie related food like popcorn and drinks. Movie trailers will be played in the background to stimulate the actual movie going experience.

Banners and posters will be put up around the school and classmates will be posted at different locations on the day itself. If needed, some people walk around the school with a small number of items to sell.

Hey 105!

about the class tee, i miraculously recieved a suggestion from Humaira. Hehe, just to share with you her ideas.

Design-

As you know, i think we were thinking of the *name* is gonna scream with (heart-shape-105) and a CAUTION HOT at the front. Humaira suggests that CAUTION LOUD is better, because of the 'gonna SCREAM with...' part. Yeah, so here's one.

Colour-

Another one is that she suggested it'll be better for the colour to be WHITE as it can go with any colour for the words, NO BLACK because it'll be very hot.

Yup so that's tat. anyway THX HUMAIRA!!! Erm, pleeeeeease give more suggestions so that we can come up with an AWESOME CLASS TEE!!!!!!!!! THANKS!!!

Hi everyone! I'm here to talk about CLASS TEE! :)

DESIGN.

Are we still choosing the fire-warning-caution-sign for the front? If yes, where? Top left corner? Top right corner? Middle?

Back -

Is it still "(name) is gonna scream with 105!" With the 105 in a heart and all our names surrounding it?

Some people told me about some new ideas they had.

Denise's idea - A skeleton, with it's bones containing our names (1 bone, one name) For the back it could be something like " A system consists of parts that work together to perform a function" So it means like a system= 105. So we work together.

Joanna's idea -

"One oh Five" then there's a stroke on the "v" changing it to a "r" and a stroke on the "h" changing it to "n".
So it becomes "One on Fire"

So which shall it be? Please email zeng yu at zng_yu@yahoo.com.sg on the opinions you all have.

COLOURS.

We haven't decided on the COLOURS yet. Please email me at winnie_sohz@hotmail.com on the COLOURS you want.

Hey 105, i just want to wish you all an early birthday! It's tomorrow btw, 10th may.

It's kinda sad how fast time has passed. It seems so weird how we've all fitted into RGS, flew pass all the mundane classes, moaned over the many confusing physics lessons and finally finishing the whole module, got through our very first SA in RGS (GAH!), and now finishing our 2nd SAs!

It is kinda sad how time has passed so quickly, and by the looks of how RGS arranges their classes for sec 1s going on sec 2s, we most likely are splitting. :( I know when i'm
old and wrinkly, i'll look back and remember all the fond memories we have together, especially when you all count the noises *coughscoughs* teachers make when they're teaching us.

Nearly 1 in 2 admits to plagiarism in survey; law is worst affected

LONDON: A survey shows 49 per cent of undergraduates have plagiarised work while studying at the prestigious Cambridge University, British newspapers have reported.

Law students were the worst offenders, with 62 per cent of them breaking the university plagiarism rules, according to student newspaper Varsity.

The department with the second highest number of offenders was archaeology and anthropology with 59 per cent, said Varsity.

Founded almost 800 years ago, Cambridge, together with Oxford University, is one of Britain's most prestigious seats of learning and was No.3 this year behind the United States' Harvard and Yale in the annual survey of international universities by The Times of London Higher Education supplement.

More than 1,000 students, or less than 5 per cent of the student population, responded to a questionnaire in the newspaper, which asked whether they had ever plagiarised someone else's work, made up statistics or fieldwork, or bought an essay.

Only 5 per cent of students in the survey said they had been caught plagiarising, reported the Daily Mail.

The Telegraph said the university was now planning to introduce special plagiarism detection software into its computer systems to tackle the problem.

'It's a depressing set of statistics,' MrRobert Foley, a professor in biological anthropology at King's College, was quoted as saying by Varsity.

The Telegraph said many students had blamed their intense workload for cutting corners, while others said they did not understand the university's definition of plagiarism and were surprised to know they had broken the rules.

'Sometimes when I'm really fed up, I Google the essay title, copy and throw everything onto a blank word document and jiggle to order a bit. They usually end up being the best essays,' said a Pembroke College land economy student.

An oriental studies student at Girton College told the Telegraph: 'Of course I use other people's ideas without acknowledging them, but I didn't think that this made me a plagiarist.'

Some students said they had continued cheating as they were not afraid of the consequences.

'I have used the same essay three times in two years for three different supervisors. I wasn't particularly worried about being caught,' said an English student at Homerton College.

Mr Ant Bagshawe, academic affairs officer at the student union, told the Telegraph the university needed to do more to punish cheats.

'If the university is not going to take teaching people about plagiarism seriously, then it has to expect headline figures like these,' he said.

But the university denied that it does not take plagiarism seriously.

'The university regards deliberate acts of plagiarism as a serious and potentially disciplinary offence which can lead to failure to obtain, or withdrawal of a degree,' it said in a statement. The school added that 'disciplinary regulations and the penalty framework are under review to ensure that they are appropriate and clear, to ensure that disciplinary action can be taken as necessary'.

Hello! This is Nisha, ur PSL!! yay this is so exciting! ive never had a proper class blog to post on, and so this is my first! and ill NEVER FORGET THE EXPERIENCE!

wow. after looking at this i started like screaming and going 'aww' and boasting to all my friends about how cute u guys are! :P seriously, im soo proud of u all! ur soo bonded! and its a very very good thing.

ok so today was PSL session 5! i hope u guys enjoyed it! (and also learnt something.. HEHE) and i hope u all liked the brownie and the cards! and on a side note, i want to thank Perina and Joanna for the cute gifts they gave me :P it was very sweet of u! but i want to also thank the WHOLE CLASS for being so wonderful! that is one of the biggest and nicest gifts i could get on valentines day!!!! :D

so how are u guys doing? i dont really know what to post about here. hehe. but i shall post random stuff k! whenever i can :D oh and u know!! TOMORROW IS GIVE A HUG DAY 2!!! YAY! are u EXCITED? I AM! (but that means i should decorate more stickers ><.... but on the positive side, stickers are FUN) anyway, do u have any examx coming up? the sec 3s have a math exam on thursday D: and im scared. but in the exam, when i get all nervous, ill think about u all and become all HAPPY and then i can ACE my exam! :P (haha sounds very cheesy)
